I am a Systems Biology Fellow in the Center for Systems and Synthetic Biology at UC San Francisco, developing theory to elucidate the design rules of cellular circuits. Previously I did postdoctoral work with Gavin Crooks in the Physical Biosciences Division at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory on nonequilibrium statistical mechanics with applications to molecular motors. I completed my Ph.D. in Biophysics at UC Berkeley working in the research group of Phillip Geissler, using analytic theory and computational models to study dsDNA elasticity, in collaboration with experimentalists in the UC Berkeley Physics and Chemistry departments
